Terms of service
Last updated: 8 August 2026
These Terms govern use of snapreserve.co.za and purchases made through SnapReserve.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or waives a right that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.
1. Supplier
The store operates under the trading name SnapReserve.
2. Product Display and Orders
Displaying a product on our website does not prevent SnapReserve from conducting reasonable stock, payment, fraud or order verification.
Electronic contracts are recognised under ECTA, and the Act determines formation by reference to offer and acceptance through data messages.
Where legally permissible, SnapReserve may decline or cancel an order before fulfilment where:
- payment fails;
- fraud is reasonably suspected;
- stock is unavailable;
- delivery is not reasonably possible;
- the order contains an obvious technical error; or
- accepting the order would be unlawful.
Any amount that must be refunded following such cancellation will be refunded as required by applicable law.
3. Pricing
Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Applicable delivery charges and other charges will be disclosed during checkout before the customer finally places the order.
SnapReserve will not deliberately create false pricing, false discounts or misleading savings claims.
An obvious technical or system error will be handled subject to applicable consumer law rather than automatically creating an unrestricted entitlement to obtain unlimited goods at an obviously erroneous price.
4. Product Description
We take reasonable steps to describe the product accurately.
Actual appearance may vary slightly because of:
- lighting;
- screen settings;
- production tolerances; or
- packaging revisions.
Material features will not intentionally be concealed or misrepresented.
5. Brand and Manufacturer Markings
SnapReserve is the retailer/store identity.
The physical product supplied may contain factory, supplier or manufacturer branding or markings.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, use of Apple, Samsung, MagSafe or other third-party names is solely to describe compatibility and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation.
6. Charging Specifications
Maximum charging figures represent supported maximum outputs under suitable conditions and are not a promise that every phone will continuously receive the maximum rate.
Performance may depend on:
- phone model;
- charging protocol;
- battery level;
- temperature;
- wireless alignment;
- cable;
- simultaneous use; and
- case/accessory configuration.
7. Device Compatibility
Customers should check their device's charging capabilities.
Magnetic attachment is not the same as wireless-charging compatibility.
Certain Android phones may require a magnetic ring or compatible case for attachment.
Where compatibility information on our product page is materially incorrect, nothing in this section removes the customer's statutory rights.
8. Payment
Payment is processed through the methods made available at checkout.
SnapReserve may use reasonable payment and fraud verification before dispatch.
We reserve the right to hold an order temporarily for reasonable verification where suspicious payment activity is detected.
9. Stock
We aim to display accurate stock information.
If goods become unavailable after payment, SnapReserve will notify the affected customer and comply with the refund requirements imposed by ECTA. Section 46 requires notice and refund where performance is impossible because the ordered goods are unavailable.
10. Delivery
SnapReserve currently sells and delivers within South Africa unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery times displayed on the website are estimates unless expressly identified as guaranteed.
Under ECTA, an electronic order must generally be executed within 30 days unless another period has been agreed. If the supplier fails to execute within that period, section 46 gives the customer specified cancellation rights.
11. Customer Delivery Information
The customer is responsible for providing an accurate:
- recipient name;
- address;
- postal code;
- contact number; and
- delivery instructions.
Where a delivery failure or return to sender results directly from incorrect information supplied by the customer or the customer's failure to accept a properly attempted delivery, SnapReserve may require payment of the reasonable actual re-delivery cost, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Authorised Delivery Instructions
If a customer expressly authorises the courier to deliver to a particular nominated person, reception area or other delivery location, that instruction may be relied upon to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this clause attempts to transfer courier risk to the customer before delivery where the law does not permit that risk to be transferred.
13. Returns
The Return & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.
SnapReserve provides statutory rights but does not presently offer an additional open-ended voluntary change-of-mind return programme.
14. Six-Month Statutory Warranty
Qualifying defective goods remain subject to the six-month implied warranty under section 56 of the CPA.
This warranty does not automatically turn damage caused by misuse, unauthorised alteration or other customer-caused damage into a manufacturing defect.
15. Safety
Power banks contain rechargeable battery cells.
Do not:
- puncture;
- crush;
- burn;
- dismantle;
- deliberately short-circuit;
- immerse in liquid; or
- expose to severe heat.
Stop using a device showing swelling, severe overheating, unusual odour or serious physical damage.
16. Promotions
Promotions apply only according to their published conditions.
SnapReserve may impose reasonable:
- expiry dates;
- quantity limits;
- coupon limits; or
- eligibility criteria,
provided these are communicated fairly.
17. Intellectual Property
SnapReserve's original:
- branding;
- store copy;
- photography;
- advertisements;
- graphics; and
- website content
may not be commercially reproduced without permission, except where permitted by law.
Third-party trademarks remain their owners' property.
18. Reviews
Customers submitting reviews must provide content that is lawful and genuinely reflects their experience.
SnapReserve reserves the right to remove:
- spam;
- threats;
- unlawful content;
- irrelevant material;
- personal information belonging to others; or
- demonstrably fraudulent reviews.
We will not remove genuine negative reviews merely because they are negative.
19. Website Misuse
You may not use the store to:
- commit fraud;
- interfere with website security;
- introduce malicious software;
- impersonate another person;
- abuse checkout systems;
- place fraudulent payment orders; or
- unlawfully scrape or exploit protected content.
20. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the CPA or another applicable law.
To the maximum extent legally permitted, SnapReserve is not responsible for loss caused solely by:
- misuse of the product;
- use contrary to warnings/instructions;
- unauthorised modification;
- incompatible third-party devices;
- customer-provided incorrect delivery information; or
- circumstances outside SnapReserve's reasonable control,
except where applicable law places that risk or liability on SnapReserve.
21. Third-Party Services
Shopify, Paystack, couriers and other providers may supply parts of the ecommerce service.
Their own terms may apply to services they independently provide, but use of a third party does not remove SnapReserve's statutory obligations as retailer where those obligations apply.
22. Privacy
Personal information is processed according to our Privacy Policy and POPIA.
23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Nothing prevents a consumer from approaching a regulator, ombud, tribunal or court where entitled to do so.
24. Complaints
Contact us first at:
Email: support@snapreserve.co.za
If an eligible dispute cannot be resolved directly, consumers may have access to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.
